Remote Japan Tours in 2021 & 2022
Japan is so much more than Tokyo, Kyoto, Takayama and Hiroshima. There are so many hidden treasures and unexplored destinations. Journey to the East is best placed to take you on a journey through off the beaten path beyond popular tourist destinations. You may not find cappucino at breakfast, a convenience store at every corner or western style hotels and restaurants in town, however, you might encounter giggling school children on a way to school, friendly farmers happy to share fresh harvest with you or devout pilgrims at a sacred mountain.
Our 8 member group tours will let you discover Japan's hidden rituals, unspoiled spectacular sceneries and warm hospitality of local people in remote areas of Japan such as Kyushu, Hokkaido, Shikoku and west coast and northern part of Honshu in a range of themes from cherry blossom to food.

Had a fabulous time with a great group of people. I loved the country, the culture, the people and everything about the tour – hope to do another tour with JTTE – maybe Hokkaido or Kyushu next time

This was my first trip with JTTE and already I am looking at the program for next year thinking about another one. I liked the fact that it was a small group, the organisation was spot on and the food everywhere was outstanding.
