Had a fabulous time with a great group of people. I loved the country, the culture, the people and everything about the tour – hope to do another tour with JTTE – maybe Hokkaido or Kyushu next time
Vivien Hewitt, Western Australia
This was my first trip with JTTE and already I am looking at the program for next year thinking about another one. I liked the fact that it was a small group, the organisation was spot on and the food everywhere was outstanding.

Christmas in Japan
Shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, and public areas everywhere have the most incredible display of lights and decorations during the month of December. Christmas is celebrated in Japan, but it is much different than family-oriented holiday in western countries.
In Japan, Christmas is mainly the time for friends to gather and have parties, or a romantic date for couples.
You will be stunned by the streams of beautiful decorations in Japan. You can't help but be part of the cultural and traditional rituals leading up to the most important day on the Japanese calendar, the New Year Day. So, why not consider taking a Japan December holiday?

Sapporo Snow Festival
One of the world's’ most famous winter festivals is the Sapporo Snow Festival on the northern Island of Hokkaido. This is something you do not want to miss on your Japan snow holiday. The sheer size of the carvings and the overall spectacle will amaze. Other snow festivals run concurrently with the main snow festival including the one at the nearby wonderful little canal city of Otaru.
Japan winter holiday is an excellent time to travel. There are so many unique things to see. We structured our Winter Spectacular Tour of Japan to take advantage of many of these other phenomena, including the snow monkeys, the UNESCO listed farming village with the snow covered thatched roofs, the dancing cranes, and the ice breakers on the drift ice.
